With this, the single bench order to prepare a new rank list as per the prospectus that has been going on since 2011 will stand. The appeal filed by the government regarding the KEEM entrance exam was considered by a bench headed by Justice Anil K Narendran. The government argued that the change in weightage was made to consider everyone in equal proportion. If the ratio was taken in the old way, the students of the Kerala syllabus would be behind. The government also argued that the new procedure would have equal proportion for both the syllabus. The division bench pointed out that it could not interfere with the single bench order by rejecting this. The High Court also asked for a report based on the consolidation of marks to be presented during the hearing.
