Sheikh Hassan Khan and a Tamil Nadu native have been found. Efforts are underway to bring them down safely, the Alaska Governor's Office said. Meanwhile, Dr Shashi Tharoor MP has written to the External Affairs Minister, seeking his intervention to bring back mountaineer Sheikh Hassan Khan. Sheikh Hassan Khan was caught in a storm while on a mission to plant the flag to congratulate the Indian Army for Operation Sindoor. Hassan is at the base camp 17,000 feet above the highest mountain in North America. The rescue mission was difficult in the camp, which was without food and water. Sheikh Hassan Khan, who made headlines for climbing Mount Everest, is a section officer in the Finance Department.
