Thousands of people from neighboring districts came to watch the elephant yoot. 63 elephants, including seven captive elephants, arrived. The items used for the Ganpati Homakoottu were 12,008 coconuts, 2000 kilograms of jaggery, 2000 kilograms of avil, 500 kilograms of malar, 60 kilograms of sesame seeds, 50 kilograms of honey, Ganpati lemons, and sugarcane.
