A 56-year-old woman who was undergoing treatment for amoebic encephalitis has died. Shobhana, a native of Vandoor, Malappuram, who was undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College, died. There were 12 people under treatment, including two children. Five people have died of amoebic encephalitis in the past month.
