Liquor quantity fraud in Kannur bar. Instead of 60 ml, a 48 ml container is used. The Pratika Bar in Pazhyangadi, Kannur was fined Rs. 25,000. The difference was found in the pegs that are given later after the fit. Vigilance inspections were conducted in bars in Pazhyangadi, Iritty, Taliparamba and Payyannur areas. The first two pegs are given to those who come to the bar and drink alcohol in the correct quantity. After that, if the customer feels that he has become a little fit, the 60 ml container is changed and the liquor is measured in another container of 48 ml prepared by them. Instead of 30 ml, only 24 ml is received later. For a fit person, it is not necessary to understand the exact quantity. The vigilance department found the container used in this way and informed the Legal Metrology. The Pratika Bar in Pazhyangadi was also fined Rs. 25,000.
