In a major operation conducted by the state GST department under the code name 'Arkenstone', sales fraud worth over Rs 100 crore was detected from jewellery establishments in Thrissur. The raids, which began on the evening of August 26 and ended the next day, were carried out by around 200 officials of the state GST Intelligence and Enforcement Division.
