In the murder case of Hemachandran, a native of Sultan Bathery, Kozhikode, the body has been confirmed to be that of Hemachandran. The confirmation was made through DNA testing. The test was confirmed at the Kannur Forensic Science Laboratory. The police had confirmed that Hemachandran was killed on June 28. The body was also found in the Cherambad forest area. Although the body was identified by relatives, the body could be released only after the DNA results came.
