An increase of up to Rs 3-4 per liter is being considered. The chairman said that a meeting will be held at the Milma Federation's head office in Pattam, Thiruvananthapuram at 11 am today, which will be attended by the chairmen, MDs and others of the three regional unions. The procedure is to implement the price increase with the permission of the government. Milma Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam unions had taken a decision in favor of the increase. However, it is reported that the Malabar Union is not in favor of increasing the price. The Ernakulam unit's recommendation is a hike of Rs 10 per liter. Although the Thiruvananthapuram union has recommended an increase proportional to the cost of production, the amount has not been stated.
