Australian fast bowler Scott Boland holds a record. Boland holds the record for the best bowling average in Tests in the last 110 years. Boland's bowling average is 17.33. The record was calculated based on bowlers who have bowled at least 2000 balls in Tests. Boland achieved this feat in the third Test against the West Indies. The record came after Boland took three wickets for just 34 runs at Sabina Park. If we count since 1900, only England's Sid Barnes is ahead of Boland. The other six bowlers ahead of Boland all date back to the 1800s, a period in the infancy of Test cricket.
