The flow of the Punnapuzha river has been strong due to the heavy rain. Revenue authorities have started an investigation into whether the river overflows due to a landslide in the mountain. The authorities have concluded that there was no landslide in the initial inspection. The people in the area have been evacuated following last year's landslide. Therefore, the authorities explain that there has been no loss of life and there is no need to panic.
