After 54 years, the Artemis team made history by traveling behind the moon. The Orion spacecraft, which orbited the moon, reestablished contact with the Earth. The four people who were part of the Artemis mission hold the record for the farthest distance traveled by humans from Earth. They reached a distance of 4,06,771 km from Earth. The new record was set at 4:37 am Indian time. The Artemis team surpassed the record set by the Apollo 13 team on April 14, 1970.
