A youth was beaten to death by a gang in Perumbavoor, Ernakulam, on suspicion of theft at a plywood company. Six guest workers have been taken into custody by the police in the incident. The deceased has not been identified. He is also a guest worker. Allaudhdeen, Minarul, Zakir Hussain, Habisudeen, Hasan Ali and Muzammil, all natives of Assam, are in the custody of the Perumbavoor police.
