Riyadh: A Malayali driver died of a heart attack in Hafr Al-Batin in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The deceased was P.T. Riyas (51) of Meen Chantha Kayal Valappu Paramba Rajula Manzil, Kozhikode. Riyas suddenly collapsed at a hypermarket in Hafr Al-Batin on the night before Eid. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved. Doctors confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack. After completing the legal procedures, the body was buried in Hafr Al-Batin itself. The procedures were completed under the leadership of OICC President Vibin Mattath and Samad Karunagappally. A large number of expatriates, including friends and colleagues, attended the ceremony. P.T. Riyas had been working as a house driver in Hafr Al-Batin for a long time. His parents are Musa and Pathey. Wife: Zeenat. Children: Shasfa Liya, Ayesha Hesa, and Hisan.
