Kottayam: Thushar Vellappally will visit the NSS headquarters this week for further discussions on the NSS-SNDP unity. Thushar Vellappally and G Sukumaran Nair spoke on the phone regarding the visit. Meanwhile, KPMS General Secretary Punnala Sreekumar is criticizing that this unity is not capable of creating any social movement. The discussions are gaining momentum after the SNDP Yogam Vishal Council gave the green light to community unity. The SNDP Yogam instructed Thushar Vellappally to reach Perunna today and meet Sukumaran Nair. However, since the NDA meeting is going on in Thiruvananthapuram, Thushar Vellappally did not arrive today. Thushar will reach Perunna and meet Sukumaran Nair after the Prime Minister's visit tomorrow. Thushar Vellappally called Sukumaran Nair on the phone last night and informed him about coming to Perunna. Sukumaran Nair welcomed Thushar. The NSS board of directors has been informed about Thushar's visit by Sukumaran Nair. The NSS board of directors will meet after Thushar reaches Perunna and officially announces community unity. All the board of directors members agree with the SNDP NSS unity. The SNDP meeting has also reached an agreement on the issues to be put forward in the meeting with Sukumaran Nair. The NSS stance is that only discussions based on basic values will take place. The NSS has not declared full support for the SNDP demand of unity from Nayadi to Nasrani. However, the KPMS is dismissing the NSS SNDP unity as absurd. The KPMS also agrees with the criticism that the NSS SNDP unity, which was discussed and rejected many times in the past, is being re-emerged due to political interests.
