Thiruvananthapuram: The new timetable of the Indian Railways will come into effect from January 1, 2026. Changes have been made in the timings of some trains operating through Kerala. According to these changes, the Thiruvananthapuram-Secunderabad Sabari Express will arrive in Ernakulam town 30 minutes earlier. It will arrive at 10.40 am instead of the old time of 11.10 am. However, the departure time from Thiruvananthapuram remains unchanged. In the new timetable, the Bengaluru-Ernakulam Intercity Express will arrive in Ernakulam at 5.05 pm instead of 4.55 pm. Similarly, the Railways announced that the Kollam-Chennai Express via Shencotta will reach Chennai one and a half hours earlier. The train will depart at 4 pm and arrive at 6.05 am. In addition, the Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Express will arrive in Ernakulam town 20 minutes earlier at 4.30 pm. Although there may be slight differences in timings at the stations in between, the arrival time in Thiruvananthapuram remains unchanged.
