Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar responded to Thiruvananthapuram Mayor VV Rajesh on the city bus controversy. He said that he should not try to distort what he is saying and that it cannot be said that the corporation purchased the buses under the central scheme, the state share is Rs 500 crore. 60% of the share belongs to the state. The corporation purchased all 113 vehicles in this way. It is an agreement with three parties. The corporation's KSRTC does not run in any other district. It is not currently running in another district due to complex maintenance. If the battery dies, it will cost Rs 28 lakh to replace it. If the Thiruvananthapuram Mayor asks for all 113 buses, they will return them within 24 hours. All they need to do is give a letter to the CMD. In return, 150 buses will be dropped off at KSRTC City. If the corporation is given the vehicles, they will not agree to park them at KSRTC's place. The mayor has not spoken to him regarding this issue. Someone has wronged the mayor. The minister explained that the vehicles are ready to be returned happily. The driver, workshop and conductor all belong to KSRTC.
