A team of doctors who investigated the family's allegations that Venu, a native of Kollam, died without receiving the proper treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, has submitted a report to the Director of Medical Education. The investigation was conducted by a team led by the Joint DME. The investigation found that there was no lapse in treatment. No deficiencies were found in the case sheet either. The doctors from the cardiology department had given a statement before the investigation team that Venu was given treatment as per the protocol. However, it is concluded that there was a communication error. The report also suggests that the family should clarify further regarding Venu's voice message. For this, the DME will seek information from Venu's wife. After this, the final report will be submitted to the Health Minister.
