Congress has named a surprise mayoral candidate to seize the Kozhikode Corporation administration. Congress is in a move to make the competition tough by making director V M Vinu the mayoral candidate of Kozhikode. V M Vinu will be fielded from Paropadi or Chevayoor. Ramesh Chennithala and Shafi Parambil spoke to V M Vinu. Then V M Vinu expressed his willingness to contest. An announcement in this regard will be made by this afternoon. V M Vinu said in the morning that he had asked his permission to contest and that the final decision had not been announced. The Congress candidates for the Kozhikode Corporation will be announced by this afternoon. The Congress is contesting in 49 seats in Kozhikode Corporation.
