Eight people died in an explosion at a pharma plant in Telangana. Several people were injured, police said. The explosion took place at the Sigachi Pharma Company in Sangareddy Pasmailaram Industrial Estate. Several workers are reportedly trapped at the scene. Efforts have been launched to rescue them. Reports indicate that the accident occurred due to a reactor explosion inside the factory. The injured have been shifted to hospitals. Fire force personnel are trying to douse the fire. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed the officials to take all steps to rescue the trapped workers and provide them with the best medical assistance.
