Delhi: The price of LPG commercial cylinders has been increased in the country. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has been increased by Rs 111. The price increase came into effect from January 1. However, the price of 14 kg domestic LPG gas cylinders remains unchanged. The price increase came into effect today in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. A 19 kg commercial cylinder, which was available for Rs 1580.50 in Delhi, will now cost Rs 1691.50. In Chennai, the price of a commercial cylinder has increased from Rs 1739.5 to Rs 1849.50. The highest rate is in Chennai. In Thiruvananthapuram, the price today is Rs 1719. Meanwhile, the price in Kolkata has increased from Rs 1684 to Rs 1795. In Mumbai, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder, which was available for Rs 1531.50, has become Rs 1642.50. The price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders was reduced marginally on December 1. While it was reduced by Rs 10 in Delhi and Kolkata, it was reduced by Rs 11 in Mumbai and Chennai. There are concerns that the sharp increase in the price of commercial cylinders used in hotels and other places could lead to inflation. The price of commercial gas cylinders has been changing regularly for some time. However, the price of domestic cylinders has remained unchanged since April 2025.
