Dubai: Heavy rains were experienced in various parts of the UAE yesterday. Heavy rains led to waterlogging on various roads. The National Meteorological Center had issued yellow and amber alerts due to heavy rain in the northern and eastern emirates. The rains were mainly received in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Waterlogging intensified in low-lying areas. As rainwater gushed from the mountains and reached the roads, traffic was disrupted in the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Many vehicles were stuck in waterlogged areas. Moderate to very heavy rain was recorded in Masafi, Asma and Murbad in Fujairah. Heavy rain fell in the Al Lizaili area of Dubai. Rain was reported in the Masafi area of Ras Al Khaimah. Heavy rain and small hail were experienced on the Khorfakkan Road and the Murbad-Masafi road.
