Tehran: Iran's currency is at an all-time low. People are protesting on the streets. Ordinary people started protesting on the streets after inflation spiked. The protests are currently in their third day. Traders in Tehran's Grand Bazaar protested on Sunday after the Iranian rial plunged against the US dollar. The protests were later taken up by ordinary people. The protests have spread to major Iranian cities such as Karaj, Hamedan, Qeshm, Malard, Isfahan, Kermanshah, Shiraz, and Yazd. The Iranian government has already explained that it will handle the protests peacefully. Iran's Central Bank Governor Mohammad Reza Farsin has already resigned. Farsin took office as the head of the Central Bank in 2022. University students have also joined the protest.
