‘Sumathi Valav’ is the new talk of the town in Malayalam cinema. The film is getting a good response in theaters within five days of its release. However, the makers of ‘Sumathi Valav’ are alleging that it is being subjected to severe degrading campaigns on social media. According to reports, this family horror film, which was directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar and scriptwriter Abhilash Pillai after the hit film ‘Malikappuram’, has managed to collect close to ten crores at the box office.The makers of Arjun Ashokan's 'Sumathi Valav' are saying that they are deliberately trying to ruin the film while it is gaining acceptance among the audience. A complaint has been filed with the cyber police against this. It is also alleged that not only the film but also the family of the makers are being abused through social media posts and comments. Similar cyber attacks were faced during the release of the film 'Malikappuram' directed by Vishnu Shashi Shankar. The makers say that the current situation with 'Sumathi Valav' is a continuation of that. Vishnu Shashi Shankar clarified that the hate campaign that started then is still ongoing. The film's scriptwriter Abhilash Pillai said that there is an organized effort to ruin the film and that he will file a complaint against it, including to the Chief Minister. 'Sumathi Valav' is produced by Gokulam Gopalan and Murali Kunnumpurat. The makers have decided to take strong action against the attempts to degrade the film, which is earning good collections.
