Palakkad∙ Two pedestrians died in a road accident on the national highway in Vaniyampara, Vadakkancherry. A vehicle carrying toddy hit Johnny (59) from Vaniyampara and Raju (53) from Maniyam Kinar. Johnny and Raju were walking along the national highway. At around 8.30 am, a vehicle carrying toddy from the direction of Palakkad hit them from behind. Johnny and Raju, who were seriously injured, were taken to the hospital, but their lives could not be saved.
