An additional Rs 6 crore has been allocated for the further treatment of the injured. Rs 93.93 lakh will be provided for the construction of a disaster memorial. This was announced by Revenue Minister K Rajan while speaking at a commemoration meeting organized by Meppadi Grama Panchayat on Wednesday, the first anniversary of the disaster. It was also decided to provide compensation to traders who lost their shops, businesses, rented buildings, goods, etc. in the disaster. In addition, it was decided to allocate money for the treatment of those who need further treatment until December 31 and to allocate Rs 6 crore from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for this purpose.
