Washington: America has made drastic changes to its lunar program. NASA has redefined the goals of the project. A research station will be established on the moon. America will ensure a permanent human presence on the moon. It has been announced that America will not be left behind in this regard. Private companies will be involved in the project. NASA has stated that more robotic missions will be carried out in the first phase and then the construction of the station will take place. More permanent missions will be ensured after Artemis 5. NASA's goal is to send humans to the lunar station every six months, just like it does to the International Space Station. The primary operation of the lunar station will begin by 2029. NASA also stated that the goal is to have a permanent crew presence by 2032. Starting from 2027. NASA added that missions to the moon will be conducted every month. NASA stated that rovers and landers will be sent in collaboration with private companies. NASA redefined the goals of the lunar program on Tuesday. The goal is to build a permanent human settlement near the moon's south pole within the next seven years. The cost is expected to be around $20 billion. The long-term goal behind this is to stay there and conduct research rather than just going to the moon and returning. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman stated that their new mission is not just to plant a flag or leave footprints, but to live there. This massive project is mainly being implemented in three phases. In the first phase, the necessary equipment and rovers will be brought to the moon for testing. In the second phase, the necessary infrastructure will be provided for astronauts to live there, and in the third phase, permanent systems will be completed for humans to live there for a long time. As part of this, some changes have been made to the Artemis mission. The project will be prepared at the moon's south pole. The scientific world considers this project to be the biggest revolution in human space exploration since the Apollo missions.
