Inter Miami, which made a spectacular comeback after being one goal behind, won its first FIFA Club World Cup under the leadership of Lionel Messi. The opponents were Portuguese club FC Porto. Miami's players were shocked and FC Porto took the lead in the eighth minute of the match. Spanish player Samu Agejoa took advantage of the penalty opportunity given by war checking. However, Miami was relieved when Venezuelan Telasco Segovia scored a crucial equalizer in the 47th minute. Messi's free kick goal came seven minutes after the equalizer. In another match, Brazilian club Palmeiras defeated Egyptian side Al Ahly 2-0. Palmeiras and Inter Miami, who each have four points, are in first and second place in the group, respectively. It was Messi's 1250th career goal.
