Israel carried out airstrikes as a warning to the al-Shara regime. The bombing took place 100 meters from the residence of the Syrian president. Israel made it clear that it would not allow the deployment of forces that would threaten the Druze community. Interim President Ahmed al-Shara accused this of being a move to escalate the conflict. The Druze community lives in Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. They also serve in the Israeli army. Meanwhile, a ship carrying aid to Gaza was attacked by a drone near Malta. The ship caught fire but was extinguished. The aid agency accused Israel of being behind the attack.
