The Union Commerce Ministry has imposed a ban on products manufactured and exported by Pakistan. The move was taken in view of national security, it said in a statement. The new decision was made by amending the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The Director General of Foreign Trade said that a ban has been imposed on all products manufactured or exported from Pakistan until further orders. The Director General said that the action is taken in view of national security and to protect the interests of the country. Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the central government has started moves to economically tighten Pakistan. Central government sources said that the aim is to stop Pakistan from getting loans from international banks citing terrorist activities.
