The Human Rights Commission has suo motu registered a case and ordered an investigation into the incident in which a student passenger was seriously injured after stones were pelted at a train. Judicial member K. Baijunath asked the Palakkad Divisional Railway Manager and Farokh Police Asst. Commissioner to conduct an investigation and submit a report within 15 days. Aishwarya Ramakrishnan, a 22-year-old native of Aluva UC College, suffered a jaw injury in the stone pelting. She also lost her teeth. The stone pelting took place at 9.50 pm last night at the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express. The incident took place between Kadalundi and Farokh. Stones were also pelted at the Vande Bharat at the same place.
