Kochi: Traffic restrictions will be imposed in Kochi city today in connection with the Prime Minister's visit. Vehicles will not be allowed to pass from the Naval Base to Marine Drive from 12 to 12.30 pm. Vehicles will not be allowed to pass from Marine Drive to Kaloor International Stadium from 12.50 to 1.20 pm and from Kaloor to the Naval Base via MG Road from 3.05 to 3.30 pm. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city. The Prime Minister will go to Marine Drive via Naval Base, Pallimukku, Jose Junction, BTH Road, Park Avenue Road and Shanmukham Road. Vehicles will be diverted from 11.00 am for this purpose. Buses from Fort Kochi and Mattancherry towards Ernakulam, Kakkanad and Aluva will have to turn around from BOT East Junction and go via Kundannur, NH 66, Vyttila and Edappally. Buses from Aluva and Kakkanad towards Fort Kochi will have to go via Kundannur, BOT East and Thoppumpady.
