Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the third Vande Bharat train allocated to Kerala. The flag-off was done online. The trial run of Vande Bharat on the Ernakulam-Bengaluru route was completed the other day. A special venue was set up at Ernakulam South Railway Station. It will depart from Ernakulam South Station and reach Bengaluru in the evening. It was initially announced that the flag-off would be at 8 o'clock. However, the flag-off was done at 8.45. Modi inaugurated 4 new Vande Bharat trains in Varanasi. Apart from Ernakulam - Bengaluru, Modi flagged off the Banaras - Khajuraho, Lucknow - and Ferozepur - Delhi trains. The train will stop at only 11 stations in total. The train will pass through Ernakulam, Thrissur, Shoranur, Palakkad, Podanur, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Krishnarajapuram and KSR Bengaluru. It will cover 608 km in 9 hours. The timings are arranged so that it will depart from Kochi in the afternoon. It is announced that it will depart from Ernakulam at 2.20 pm and reach Bengaluru City at 11 pm. It will depart from Bengaluru at 5.10 am and reach Ernakulam at 1.50 pm.
