The salary was paid by combining overdraft and government assistance. The May salary of all employees reached their accounts yesterday. The salary started arriving on the first day of last month. Advance salary is arriving after eight years. Earlier, the salary for the month of March was distributed in a lump sum. This is the first time since December 2020 that the salary was paid in full on the first day. It was a major announcement by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar that the salary of the employees would be paid in a single installment on the first day itself.
