Uttarakhand shaken by cloudburst. 4 deaths have been confirmed in a cloudburst that occurred following flash floods in Uttarkashi. District Magistrate Prashant Arya clarified that the death was in Dharali, which was badly damaged. Rescue operations are in progress with more equipment being brought in. The local administration confirms that around 60 people are missing. However, it can be understood from the visuals that there are more people.A devastating cloudburst occurred in Dharali. This caused flash floods and massive landslides in the Ghir Ganga river valley area. Dharali is a highland area in Uttarkashi district. Several houses were swept away by the mountain flash flood. Reports indicate that many people are trapped under the debris. The Uttarakhand government has approached the Indian Army for rescue operations. Authorities say that the accident was caused by the high water level in the Ghir Ganga river. A terrifying video of people screaming is currently circulating on social media. Buildings on the third and fourth floors collapsed under the impact of the flood. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep grief over the tragedy. Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the cloudburst caused massive damage. The Chief Minister said that rescue operations have begun in the area. Three more NDRF teams will arrive from Manera, Batkot and Dehradun for the rescue operation. Steps have also been taken for aerial rescue operations.
